Ensures supervision and treatment is received according to the service plan.
Monitor and screen admissions, service, and discharges.
Write, implement, and monitor treatment plan.
Administer, analyze, and approve assessments.
Work with residential programs and staffing to develop appropriate service plans to address needs that will either increase or improve an individual’s quality of life.
Ensures policies and practices of the agency is in compliance with regulations by the Offices of Licensing & Human Right and Medicaid guidelines.
Communicate with other providers and authorized representatives as necessary.
Write quarterly and annual reviews for updates and continuity of services.
Represents the agency at meetings and in-services as requested.
Oversees the day-to-day operation of the service by supervising employees, individuals served, and service delivery.
Prepare staffing plans to meet the needs of all individuals served.
Ensures safety inspections of the vehicle are done periodically.
Interview, hire, and train employees to ensure compliance with mandatory certifications by the agency, Medicaid, and DBHDS.
Review at least one-half of progress notes at least weekly and all notes at least monthly.
Initiate periodic site visits to ensure DSPs are providing the scheduled activities.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of principles and practices of working with individuals who have developmental disabilities.
Must have good time management and organization skills.
Have the ability to multitask many responsibilities.
Ability to screen and admit individuals into the service.
Skilled in developing service plans for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Knowledge and ability to provide intense supervision, administer and analyze assessments, and develop and implement person-centered service plans.
Ability to review documentation and provide instructions on identifying strategies in the service plan.
Ability to communicate both verbally and in a written manner.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a human service field + one (1) year of experience working with individuals that have developmental disabilities.
Meet the requirements of a criminal background investigation and registry check.
Have a driver’s license and a good driving record.
